Breaking the Silence addresses a moral crisis that persists when abuse, neglect, and systemic failure are dismissed, concealed, overlooked, or silenced. Group homes and special care homes have a responsibility not only to provide care but also to uphold accountability, ensure transparency, and respect care rights. When this responsibility is compromised, silence turns into complicity, making the act of speaking out a vital measure of protection and justice.
It is only through the collective voice that meaningful change will occur. This highlights the importance of families, guardians, and legal authorities of care having a private, safe platform to document, track, and record struggles, abuse, and refusals of care services. In doing so, they promote accountability and advocate for care rights while addressing the systemic failure that has silenced these lost voices.
Join us for our upcoming events and help support our mission of accountability. We offer a variety of opportunities, from community gatherings and town halls to policy forums and public petitions, all aimed at raising awareness about care rights and addressing systemic failures. Together, we can refine programs for better service delivery, ensuring that our laws are enforced to protect the most vulnerable members of our society.
